REDUCTION IN FORCE – POINT LEADERS – UPDATE
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
We are please to advise that following a review of the parties’ submissions,
the CIRB has determined it appropriate to consolidate the Union’s Bad Faith
Bargaining Complaint and application concerning the Certification and they
are of the opinion that a hearing will be required.
The parties have been asked to consult one another and notify the Board’s
Case Management Officer, by March 1, 2013, of our mutual availability for a
five (5) day hearing to be held in Vancouver.
The IAM & AW will continue to work with Counsel in response to the
Company’s actions to pursue resolution, through grievance arbitration, the
Canadian Industrial Relations Board and any other means available to the
IAM & AW.
We will advise the Membership of any developments, confirmed hearing
dates or instruction from the CIRB in the above proceedings as soon as the
information becomes available.
In Solidarity,
Tania Canniff, General Chairperson
Transportation District 140, IAM & AW
