As you know, the Teamsters will NOT be filing for certification at YVR. Neither their Canadian office, nor their Local 213 will be filing. Please don’t pay attention to rumours being spread which don’t have any names or signatures. And especially if it is not on official letterhead.
All unions representing Screening Officers are re-signing their own members. This is a legal requirement of the Canada Labour Code when there is a change in employers!
We still have important work to do – Negotiating a new contract with G4S. We need to show strength and our solidarity to G4S.
