IAM Local Lodge 16 wish’s to thank all the members who dropped by our event at the Fairmont Hotel on 17 October, 2011. At last count, between 250-300 members came by to ask questions, share information and participate in raising funds for the Canadian Breast Cancer Society.
Local 16 raised $900 on this special day. Special thanks to those sisters and brothers whom shared stories with other members of being affected with cancer themselves, or their family members. Other IAM locals also contributed in a show of solidarity and support for getting rid of the malicious disease which affects so many women every year. Local 764 contributed $100 and Local 692 generously gave $500!
Local Lodge 16 has approximately 61% Female membership at YVR. Breast cancer matters to us!
A number of prizes were donated for the raffle. Congratulations to the members who won!
