NOMINATION NOTICE – SHOP STEWARDS

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

If you would be interested in becoming a Shop Steward the Local Lodge is accepting nominations from members in good standing with the IAMAW in accordance with the Local Lodge Bylaws for a three (3) year term commencing June 1, 2014.

Nominations will open May 12, 2014 and all nominations forms must be in the hands of the undersigned by closing at 15:30 pm on May 19, 2014.

Nomination forms are available from the Local Lodge office. Both the Nominee and the Nominator must be “Members in Good Standing” of the Local Lodge.  The Nominee must be in good standing for a period of one (1) year and have attended at least fifty percent (50%) of the regular Local Lodge monthly meetings in the preceding twelve (12) months for the nomination to be accepted. Nominees must be a ‘member in good standing” for at least one (1) year at the time of the nomination to be accepted.

Nominees must be prepared to commit to fulfilling all of the roles and responsibilities of a Shop Steward as determined and assigned by the Shop Committee.

If an election is required it would take place on May 27, 2014
