Let’s recommit to flattening the curve
As we see an increase in new COVID-19 cases, let’s recommit to flattening the curve! Stay home if you’re sick. Wash your hands. Stay two metres apart. Gather in small groups only. Wear a mask if you can’t physically distance. Let’s remember, the actions of each of us matter to all of us. Share this on Facebook to remind your friends and family. For many years, workers who were injured or got sick on the job didn’t have the support they needed. Last week, BC NDP Labour Minister Harry Bains announced that we’re increasing support for injured workers and their families and enhancing WorkSafeBC’s ability to investigate incidents while keeping premiums low. These changes represent an important step in modernizing the Workers Compensation Act, so that workers are supported and British Columbians can feel confident in the system. Want to hang out with your fellow New Democrats while supporting a local BC NDP team? Join us for one of our grassroots virtual fundraisers. Online tonight, we’ve got our popular New Democrats Got Talent showcase, featuring performers from across BC and an all-star panel of judges. In the coming weeks, don’t miss JeopardEby: A Trivia Night with David Eby and The Almost Definitive Virtual Walking Tour of Vancouver-Fairview with George Heyman and Bowinn Ma. See you again soon!
