Fewer fees and more services for a #BetterBC
MSP fees added up to an unfair tax, so we eliminated them on New Year’s Day. Now, no British Columbians have to pay any MSP fees, saving families up to $1,800 a year. This is one of the biggest middle-class tax cuts in the history of our province.
Andrew Wilkinson won’t say what he’d do about MSP. But the last time the BC Liberals were in government, fees doubled! Don’t want to go back to paying unfair taxes? Then let the BC Liberals know we can’t move backwards on MSP fees.
Everybody needs a quick way to get from A to B. And for cleaner air and less-congested roads, our cities need to offer alternatives to driving. That’s why we just announced new and expanded RapidBus services for communities including Maple Ridge and Surrey.
Announcing the new service in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, Selina Robinson, Minister of Municipal Affairs, commented: “We all want affordable, comfortable, and convenient options to get us where we are going. We want to get there quickly and we want to get there on time.”
Convenient access to high-quality healthcare saves lives. That’s why we’ve built new urgent and primary care centres across the province, serving communities including Kamloops, Vernon, Quesnel, Prince George, and Surrey. And there’s more to come!
This week, at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new facility in Kelowna, Health Minister Adrian Dix noted: ”Thousands of area residents who currently lack a primary care provider will benefit from increased access to same-day appointments for urgent needs and ongoing primary care.”
In 2017, we formed government with the belief that British Columbians deserve better. Since then, John Horgan’s team has been working tirelessly, already making good on three quarters of our campaign promises.
We’ve accomplished a lot but there’s plenty more to do – which is why we’re so grateful for everyone who chipped in and helped us hit our year-end fundraising target. With your support, we’ll keep working for you.
