***REVISED***
NOMINATION NOTICE – LOCAL LODGE 16 ELECTION – JANUARY 17, 2017
Further to the Local Lodge Bulletins dated October 18, 2016, nominations were called for the General Meeting occurring on Tuesday, November 15, 2016.
On November 15, 2016, the Local Lodge failed to meet the quorum requirements of the Constitution in order to conduct the Nominations.
As a result, the Local Lodge 16 Executive Board sought dispensation from the IAMAW Canadian Office from the Local Lodge Bylaws in order to hold the December 20, 2016 General Meeting on December 6, 2016 at 15:30 at the regular meeting place and time. Provided a quorum is achieved on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, the election will take place on Tuesday, January 17, 2017.
Revised Nomination Notices will be issued communicating a change in dates for the close of nominations, the election, and the deadline for submission of Absentee Ballot request forms.
It is NOT necessary to resubmit nominations already tendered to the Recording Secretary.
Members employed at Regional Bargaining Units do NOT need to resubmit Absentee Ballot request forms.
Members employed by Lower Mainland/Vancouver Based Bargaining Units that previously submitted Absentee Ballot request forms may no longer be eligible to receive an Absentee Ballot, depending on the reason for the request, as a result of the change in the election date.
In solidarity,
Daniel Zamorano, Recording Secretary – Local Lodge 16
