G4S – PREBOARD SCREENING PERSONNEL LOCAL LODGE 16 – PACIFIC REGION – NEGOTIATION UPDATE – TENTATIVE AGREEMENT HIGHLIGHTS [English/French]

 

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

Further to our bulletin of June 26, 2015, advising the Membership that a Tentative Agreement was reached between the IAMAW and G4S Secure Solutions (Canada) Ltd. on June 26, 2015, for all of the IAMAW Bargaining Units in the Pacific Region.update

Highlights throughout the term of the Collective Agreement include:

  •  General Wages Increases as follows:

o 2.00% Effective April 1, 2015 (Retroactive for Wage Related Provisions)

o 2.25% Effective April 1, 2016

o 2.50% Effective April 1, 2017

  •  3 Year Term Expiring March 31, 2018
  •  COLA/VRSC Improvements

o Regional Base Increases – Effective April 1, 2016

o Improvements in the Qualifying and Eligibility Provisions

  •  Introduction of LEAP & Northern Living Allowance for YXJ
  •  Improved Bereavement Leave Provisions
  •  Improved Sick Leave Payout Provisions
  •  Improved Scheduling Provisions

o Consistent Shift Start Times

o Defined Shift Lengths

o Provisions Dealing with Frequency of Shift Bids

o Changes to Shift Modification Language

o Defined Procedures for Filling of Vacant Lines and Additional Shifts

  •  Increased Paid Break Provisions on Six (6) Hour Shift
  •  Penalty for Missed Breaks
  •  All Same Day Overtime Paid at 1.5 Rates – Regardless of Forty (40) Hour Req.
  •  Improve Vacation Entitlement @ Eleven (11) Years (8% to 10%) – Effective April 1, 2017
  •  Reimbursement for Company Functional Ability Form Certificates
  •  Penalty for Delays in Correcting Payroll Errors

Information concerning Ratification Dates and Information Sessions for each Bargaining Unit throughout the Region will be communicated this week.

A comprehensive ratification package will be available to the Membership for review prior to ratification.
