The IAM has been monitoring the situation very closely and expects an announcement based on the recommendations from the Federal Government within days.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are cautiously optimistic that the government will follow the recommendations of their Expert Advisory Panel and slowly reopen the borders when it\u2019s safe to do so. Air Transportation is a critical contributor to the Canadian Economy and provides for hundreds of thousands of jobs. Our members are desperate to get back to work and have been looking for a plan for a restart of the industry from the federal government.
