People across our province have had their lives turned upside down by COVID-19. As 2020 draws to a close, Premier John Horgan wants to know how you\u2019re doing \u2013 and he wants to answer your questions about his government\u2019s response to the pandemic.<\/div>\n

Who\u2019s eligible for the BC Recovery Benefit? How can we better protect seniors? Whatever your question is, John wants to hear it. And early next year, we\u2019ll be sharing some of your questions \u2013 and John\u2019s answers \u2013 on social media and the BC NDP blog.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

British Columbians have been paying too much for car insurance. But with the introduction of ICBC\u2019s new coverage plan next spring, drivers will save an average of about $400 \u2013 BC\u2019s largest decrease in insurance rates for more than 40 years.<\/div>\n
\n

On top of that, we’ll keep pushing for an extra COVID-19 rebate to give money directly to drivers. Add your name today if you support our work to create a more affordable auto insurance system with better care benefits for British Columbians.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Last week, BC\u2019s COVID-19 vaccine deployment plan was announced \u2013 and this week, the first British Columbians were immunized. Doses will continue to arrive in BC over the coming weeks, and a system that will make it easy to register for immunization is in development.<\/div>\n
\n

The full timeline for widespread immunization will depend on vaccine approval and availability \u2013 with a rigorous safety and efficacy process in place. As the details of the deployment plan continue to develop, please keep following all provincial health orders and advice.<\/p>\n

As Premier Horgan said, announcing the plan: \u201cHope is on the horizon. It won\u2019t be overnight and we must continue to do our part to protect each other, but this is a huge step in our fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
