This election, British Columbians were given the chance to choose who they want to lead them out of the COVID-19 pandemic \u2013 and beyond.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, the final results came in. Thanks to the work of supporters like you, we\u2019ve won 57 of the legislature\u2019s 87 seats \u2013 the best showing for the BC NDP since the 90s.<\/p>\n

With your help, we\u2019ve managed to make sure BC will continue to have a government that puts people first and keeps our province moving forward.<\/p>\n

Whether you volunteered, donated, or simply voted, we couldn\u2019t have done it without you. Thank you, for all your support!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Renters in BC have been struggling with cost increases for years. Now, when managing through this pandemic, no renter should have to face the added pressure of a rent increase.<\/div>\n
\n

That\u2019s why we\u2019ve taken action to extend the freeze on rent increases until July next year. After swearing in a new Cabinet, we plan to freeze rents through the end of 2021 and permanently cap future rent increases to the rate of inflation.<\/p>\n

On November 11, Remembrance Day, British Columbians honoured Canada\u2019s veterans and paused to reflect on the horrors of war.<\/p>\n

In a statement, Premier John Horgan urged British Columbians to consider \u201clives lost and the sacrifices made by those who returned from battle with injuries, both visible and invisible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Premier Horgan: \u201cFor generations, Canadians have bravely risked their lives to protect ours. They have sacrificed so much to build a better world.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
