The people of BC have made incredible sacrifices to keep our families and communities safe. But a small minority of selfish individuals are breaking the COVID-19 rules.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why your BC NDP government has introduced tough $2,000+ fines for businesses and party-goers who won\u2019t play by the rules to help BC\u2019s recovery.<\/p>\n

Recent months have truly brought home the importance of secure jobs and safe working conditions for everyone. When you\u2019re relaxing this Labour Day, take a moment to remember the many people in BC who have fought \u2013 and continue to fight \u2013 for workers\u2019 rights.<\/p>\n

Your BC NDP government is fighting that fight to support the working people of our province. We know there\u2019s much more to be done, but we\u2019ve made a lot of progress since 2017 \u2013 and we intend to ensure good jobs and workers\u2019 rights are protected throughout this crisis and beyond.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

We think Premier John Horgan has been doing a fantastic job through some pretty tough times and we couldn\u2019t be prouder of his smart, compassionate leadership.<\/p>\n

So, we were delighted to see that John\u2019s coalition partner and former BC Green Party leader Andrew Weaver had some very kind words to say about the Premier this week.<\/p>\n

Speaking about our province\u2019s future, he said: \u201cBritish Columbia would benefit from having Mr. Horgan as Premier. He\u2019s clearly indicated to me that he cares deeply, profoundly about people.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

BC students will return to in-class learning this month. To help keep everyone safe, special health and safety measures have been brought in, funding has been increased for protective equipment like masks, and a new system of \u201clearning groups\u201d has been created.<\/p>\n
