Talking to people in the community is one of the most important parts of our work engaging with voters across the province. Want to help? Sign up to join our Virtual Day of Action on July 25.<\/p>\n

Volunteers from across the province will hit the phones to talk with friends, family, and neighbours \u2013 while doing their part to keep BC\u2019s curve flat.<\/p>\n

The COVID-19 crisis has made clear the importance of building healthcare capacity for the long term. Your BC NDP government is committed to ensuring that BC\u2019s growing communities have the capacity they need.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why, in March 2018, we approved plans for a new acute-care tower in Richmond. Last week, Premier John Horgan and Health Minister Adrian Dix announced that these plans have been significantly expanded.<\/p>\n

Minister Dix: \u201cThe renewed and expanded concept plan reflects our government\u2019s ongoing commitment to the people who live and work here, ensuring that timely, quality public healthcare will be there for them, now and into the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

And on July 25, we\u2019ll be holding our\u00a0New Democrats Got Talent<\/a><\/b> showcase, with performers from across the province and an all-star panel of judges.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Everyone deserves to be treated fairly. But over the years, many Black, Indigenous, and other people of colour in BC haven\u2019t received the fair treatment they deserve.<\/p>\n

One way we\u2019re addressing this is by working to ensure the police are held to the highest possible standards of accountability and unbiased conduct.<\/p>\n

BC\u2019s Police Act is 45 years old and \u2013 frankly \u2013 out of date. So, our BC NDP government is reforming it to address the realities of systemic racism and urgent priorities for mental health and harm reduction. If you support this move, please share the news on Facebook.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
