Prime Minister Trudeau’s announcement about compensating essential workers fairly for the risks they take to keep our economy going and to protect our communities was welcomed by many members of the IAMAW.
\n\u200b
\nBut, we know, more work remains. Some of our members will not be included in this initiative, yet they have worked through the pandemic risking their health, and well being. Until the work of these members is recognized, we will not stop advocating.<\/p>\n

The IAMAW is calling on provincial governments to include ALL AIRPORT WORKERS under the pandemic pay initiative. Airports were at the forefront of the pandemic, and many workers have contracted COVID19; these members deserve not just protection but fair compensation.<\/p>\n

Help us make this goal a reality by emailing your provincial\/territorial Premier.<\/p>\n

L\u2019annonce du premier ministre Trudeau au sujet de la r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration \u00e9quitable des travailleurs essentiels pour les risques qu\u2019ils prennent pour maintenir notre \u00e9conomie et prot\u00e9ger nos collectivit\u00e9s a \u00e9t\u00e9 bien accueillie par de nombreux membres de l\u2019AIMTA.<\/p>\n

Mais nous savons qu\u2019il reste encore du travail \u00e0 faire. Certains de nos membres ne seront pas inclus dans cette initiative, mais ils ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 surmonter la pand\u00e9mie, ce qui a mis leur sant\u00e9 et leur bien-\u00eatre en danger. Tant que le travail de ces membres ne sera pas reconnu, nous ne cesserons de plaider.<\/p>\n

L\u2019AIMTA demande aux gouvernements provinciaux d\u2019inclure TOUS LES TRAVAILLEURS ET TRAVAILLEUSES DES A\u00c9ROPORTS dans l\u2019initiative de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration en cas de pand\u00e9mie. Les a\u00e9roports \u00e9taient \u00e0 l\u2019avant-garde de la pand\u00e9mie,<\/p>\n

et de nombreux travailleurs ont contract\u00e9 COVID19; ces membres m\u00e9ritent non seulement une protection, mais aussi une indemnisation \u00e9quitable.<\/p>\n
