{"id":6064,"date":"2018-12-16T01:13:02","date_gmt":"2018-12-16T01:13:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iamaw16.ca\/?p=6064"},"modified":"2018-12-16T01:19:22","modified_gmt":"2018-12-16T01:19:22","slug":"g4s-pre-board-screening-personnel-local-lodge-16-pacific-region-benefits-december-14-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iamaw16.ca\/?p=6064","title":{"rendered":"G4S &#8211; PRE-BOARD SCREENING PERSONNEL LOCAL LODGE 16 &#8211; PACIFIC REGION BENEFITS \u2013 DECEMBER 14, 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"text-align:center\" class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>BENEFITS \u2013 DECEMBER 14, 2018<br><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dear Members:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier today the Company issued a communication regarding the launch of a new benefits portal, called AON Choice.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This communication caught all of us off guard, as there was no prior warning or discussion with the IAM, regarding this matter.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We immediately contacted the Company to communicate our concerns and gain an understanding of how this change was going to impact our Members.\u00a0<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"237\" height=\"212\" src=\"https:\/\/iamaw16.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/fsdrf.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2141\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iamaw16.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/fsdrf.jpg 237w, https:\/\/iamaw16.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/fsdrf-60x53.jpg 60w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 237px) 100vw, 237px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We were advised that this was simply an administrative change from Manulife to AON. The new portal will allow employees to more efficiently access or change information regarding their benefits, from a change of address, to accessing forms in order to add\/or change a dependent.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no change to the benefit provider, it will remain Manulife.<br>There is no change to the benefit entitlements.<br>There is no change to how benefits will be processed, i.e. pay direct.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Company confirmed that any change to the benefit entitlements and\/or processing of benefits are matters that must be negotiated between the Company and the Union.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Should you have any questions or concerns that have not been addressed by our bulletin, please do hesitate to let us know.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you for your patience and support.
