{"id":6050,"date":"2018-12-14T22:52:25","date_gmt":"2018-12-14T22:52:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iamaw16.ca\/?p=6050"},"modified":"2018-12-14T22:58:47","modified_gmt":"2018-12-14T22:58:47","slug":"press-release-talks-with-pacific-region-pre-board-screeners-stalled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iamaw16.ca\/?p=6050","title":{"rendered":"Press Release: Talks with Pacific Region Pre-board Screeners stalled!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Talks with Pacific Region Pre-board Screeners stalled!<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iamaw.ca\/talks-with-pacific-region-pre-board-screeners-stalled\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.iamaw.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/airport-screening--e1544733904884.jpg\" alt=\"Talks with Pacific Region Pre-board Screeners stalled!\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>13th December 2018<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vancouver, BC \u2013 \u201cBargaining is at an impasse,\u201d\nexplained IAM Transportation District 140 General Chairperson Tania Canniff.\n\u201cThe company, G4S Secure Solutions Canada Limited, won\u2019t meet with us unless we\ndrop all of our financial demands outside of the company-proposed wage increases\nand we\u2019re not able to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IAM Local Lodge 16 represents 1350 airport pre-board\nscreeners throughout British Columbia at eleven bargaining units. Bargaining\nbegan on February 27, 2018 for a combined total of 44 days of direct\nbargaining, conciliation and mediation.
