{"id":5256,"date":"2017-09-20T21:13:13","date_gmt":"2017-09-20T21:13:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iamaw16.ca\/?p=5256"},"modified":"2017-09-20T21:20:51","modified_gmt":"2017-09-20T21:20:51","slug":"5256","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iamaw16.ca\/?p=5256","title":{"rendered":"SECURIGUARD AIRSIDE ESCORT NEGOTIATIONS COMMITTEE NOMINATION NOTICE \u2013 ELECTION \u2013 NOVEMBER 21ST, 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>SECURIGUARD AIRSIDE ESCORT NEGOTIATIONS COMMITTEE NOMINATION NOTICE\u00a0<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">ELECTION \u2013 NOVEMBER 21ST, 2017<br \/>\n**************************************************************<\/h2>\n<p>September 14, 2017<\/p>\n<p>Nominations will be called at the <strong>OCTOBER.17TH, 2017<\/strong> <strong>General Meeting<\/strong> of Local Lodge 16 for the positions listed below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>POLLS WILL BE OPEN:<\/strong> NOVEMBER.17TH, 2017<br \/>\n<strong>LOCATION<\/strong>: To Be Communicated<\/p>\n<p><strong>(2) Candidates for the Securiguard Airside Escort NEGOTIATIONS COMMITTEE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All Nomination forms<strong> MUST<\/strong> be in the hands of the Local Lodge Recording Secretary<strong> No Later<\/strong> than <strong>3:30 pm on October.17th, 2017.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>NOMINATIONS<\/strong> for the above office may be offered at the Regular Local Lodge 16 meeting on October.17th, 2017. Nominations will state the name of the person being nominated, the office the nomination is for, and the name of the nominator.<\/p>\n<p>Both the <strong>NOMINEE<\/strong> and <strong>NOMINATOR<\/strong> must be<strong> \u201cMembers in Good Standing\u201d<\/strong> of the Local Lodge for the nomination to be accepted. Nominees must be a \u201cmember in good standing\u201d for at least one (1) year at the time of nomination for the nomination to be accepted and have attended at least fifty percent (50%) of the regular Local Lodge monthly meetings in the preceding twelve (12) months of their nomination, pursuant to Article 2, Section H and I of the Local Lodge Bylaws.<\/p>\n<p>Please fill out the attached Nomination form and mail by Canada Post, hand deliver or FAX to the Local Lodge Recording Secretary. More forms may be obtained from the Local Lodge offices.<\/p>\n<p>IAMAW CONSTITUTION \u2013 ARTICLE II \u2013 SECTION 3 \u2013 ABSENTEE BALLOTS<br \/>\nMembers who reside in outlying Districts more than 25 miles from the designated balloting place, members who are either confined because of a verified illness or on leave qualifying under U.S. and Canadian family leave laws, or on vacation, or on official I.A.M. business approved by the Local Lodge or District Lodge or Grand Lodge, or on an employer travel assignment, or reserve military leave, as the case may be, shall be furnished absentee ballots. Members applying for an absentee ballot on the basis of residing in an outlying district more than 25 miles from the designated balloting place, shall have their eligibility to vote by absentee ballot determined by the Recording<\/p>\n<p>Secretary and the Secretary Treasurer before the ballot is mailed. Members found not to be eligible to vote by absentee ballot will be so notified within 10 days of the receipt of their application.<\/p>\n<p>Please fill out the attached Absentee Ballot Request Form and mail by Canada Post or hand delivered (Faxes not accepted) to the Recording Secretary of Local Lodge 16 no later than <strong>OCTOBER.16, 2017<\/strong>.
