The Premier chose to leave workers in poverty. In fact, a full-time minimum wage worker will still be living $5500 a year below the poverty line. That is simply unacceptable.

While Clark enjoys salary bonuses amounting to hundreds of thousands, workers will only see fourteen bucks a week added to their pay cheques. That barely covers the cost of lunch.

This announcement doesn’t reflect what British Columbians want for workers. Eight-three percent believe if you work full-time, you shouldn’t live in poverty.

Help us put an end to poverty wages in BC. Send a message to Premier Clark.
