ELECTION NOTICE \u2013 LOCAL LODGE 16 <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

BYLAWS COMMITTE<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

ELECTION \u2013 NOVEMBER 17, 2015<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

Elections will be held at the November 17, 2015 General Meeting of Local Lodge 16 for the position listed below. The term of office begin immediately for the remainder of the current three (3) year term, expiring December 31, 2016.<\/p>\n

POLLS WILL BE OPEN<\/b><\/span><\/span>: November 17, 2015 at 7:00 am and close at 9:00 pm <\/span><\/p>\n

LOCATION<\/b><\/span><\/span>: Union Offices, 7980 River Road, Richmond, BC <\/span><\/p>\n

Please ensure that you bring one (1) piece of picture identification on Election Day.<\/p>\n

The following members, having been found in good standing and meeting all the qualifications as per the IAMAW Constitution and the By-Laws of Local Lodge 16, have accepted nomination and will stand for election, as follows:<\/p>\n

IAMAW CONSTITUTION \u2013 ARTICLE II \u2013 SECTION 3 \u2013 ABSENTEE BALLOTS<\/p>\n

Members who reside in outlying Districts more than 25 miles from the designated balloting place, members who are either confined because of a verified illness or on leave qualifying under U.S. and Canadian family leave laws, or on vacation, or on official I.A.M. business approved by the Local Lodge or District Lodge or Grand Lodge, or on an employer travel assignment, or reserve military leave, as the case may be, shall be furnished absentee ballots. Members applying for an absentee ballot on the basis of residing in an outlying district more than 25 miles from the designated balloting place, shall have their eligibility to vote by absentee ballot determined by the Recording Secretary and the Secretary Treasurer before the ballot is mailed. Members found not to be eligible to vote by absentee ballot will be so notified within 10 days of the receipt of their application.<\/p>\n

Please fill out the attached Absentee Ballot Request Form and mail by Canada Post or hand deliver (Faxes not accepted) to the Recording Secretary of Local Lodge 16 no later than <\/span>OCTOBER 18, 2015<\/span><\/span><\/b>. More forms may be obtained from your Chief Steward (s) or the Local Lodge offices. <\/span><\/p>\n
