Today’s appeal will be short, sharp and to the point: A life may be at stake and we need you to take just a few seconds out of your day to do something about it..<\/p>\n

Almost 10,000 of you have sent a protest message to the government of Iran over the imprisonment of Esmail Abdi, a teachers union leader.\u00a0 Which is wonderful: thank-you!<\/p>\n

But that means that many of you have not.\u00a0 You need to and soon.<\/strong>\u00a0 Just 5 years ago another teachers union leader, Farzad Kamangar, was jailed and then executed by the government of Iran.\u00a0 By sending messages we’re telling Iran, as well as Esmail and his family, that the world is watching.<\/p>\n
