Federal government workers across Canada are taking action against attacks to union rights and public services.\"untitleddcd\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Last month, the Conservative government tabled Bill C-59<\/em>, the Budget Implement Act. Bill C-59<\/em> authorizes Treasury Board to modify collective agreements to remove sick leave and impose a short and long term disability plan. The Supreme Court has ruled the right to collective bargaining is protected by the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.<\/p>\n
