On December 6, 2013, the Canadian Labour Congress with Western University launched a groundbreaking national survey on the impact of domestic violence in the workplace. The response was overwhelming \u2013 8429 workers participated, from all regions of the country.
\nWe asked them who had experienced domestic violence, how it impacted their work and their co-workers, whether they had discussed it with anyone at work and what types of support they may have received.
\n<\/span>The <\/span>survey results<\/span><\/a> are a wake-up call and we can\u2019t wait to share what we have learned.<\/span>
\nIt\u2019s time to talk. This survey is the start of a conversation, one that needs to involve <\/span>\"youtube\"<\/span><\/a>unions, employers and governments, about how we can make sure that people who experience domestic violence can feel safe on the job, and feel supported by their union and employer.<\/span>
