We’re inviting you to join us on Wednesday, October 14, to support 80 restaurant workers at YVR Airport’s White Spot and Triple O’s locations who are fighting for living wages in their first collective agreement.

Since joining Local 40 last year, workers have been fighting for fair wages, reliable scheduling, and better working conditions. They earn $3/hour less than workers at other unionized YVR airport concessions. Canadian Skies Hospitality Group, which operates the two restaurants, has refused to match the wages other unionized airport operators pay their workers.

At a moment when the federal government is moving toward privatization of YVR Airport, we have to stop employers like Canadian Skies from undermining the standards airport workers across YVR have worked hard to achieve.

Let’s stand together to ensure that airport profits don’t come at the expense of workers’ abilities to support themselves and their families.

We’re asking for your support in two ways:

1. Join our October 14 rally

Stand with Canadian Skies workers, community members, labour allies, and supporters at YVR as we call for a fair first contract and better working conditions.

Wednesday, October 14, 2026 2. Sign and circulate our community letter to YVR

We’re calling on YVR CEO Tamara Vrooman and the Vancouver Airport Authority to take action for Canadian Skies workers and uphold YVR’s commitment to being a living wage employer. Please sign and share the letter with your membership.
