LL764 has been working closely with the British Columbia NDP Party to arrange for sitting MLAs\u00a0and Candidates seeking election in Lower Mainland ridings to attend our monthly General\u00a0Meetings in February, March, April and May 2013.<\/p>\n

I am pleased to announce that visiting with us will be Vancouver – Mount Pleasant MLA Jenny\u00a0Kwan, Official Opposition Critic for Jobs, Economic Development and Trade<\/strong>. Jenny was\u00a0the first Chinese Canadian Cabinet Minister in B.C. history in 1996. Also in attendance will be\u00a0Surrey – Whalley MLA Bruce Ralston, Official Opposition Critic for Finance and Public Works.\"ndp\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Jenny and Bruce will be joined by NDP candidates Frank Huang<\/strong> (Richmond Centre) andScott Stewart (Richmond Steveston).<\/strong><\/p>\n

They will be attending the BBQ before our regular meeting (16:00 – 17:00) to meet and mingle\u00a0with our Members and to answer any questions you may have. They will also be making a few\u00a0brief remarks and answering more of your questions at the beginning of our General Meeting\u00a0from 17:00 – 17:30.\"images\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This invitation is also being extended to our Sisters and Brothers in IAM & AW LL16 and DL250\u00a0as well as CUPE Local 4094 and CAW Local 2002.
\nWe hope that our Members who live in these ridings will make an extra effort to attend, meet\u00a0your NDP candidates and tell them about the issues that concern you and your family.
