<\/a><\/p>\nConsultations will take place through to the end of March and the Advisory Group report will be prepared for\u00a0review by the ITA Board this spring. lt is expected that the supports will be implemented shortly thereafter.<\/p>\n
While the consultation is focused on identifying supports that would be of direct benefit to those active in\u00a0apprenticeship, it is expected that additional insights will be collected on challenges related to other aspects\u00a0of the apprenticeship system. (E.9. attracting entrants to apprenticeship, expanding apprenticeship\u00a0opportunities, and learning more about the reasons for non-completion)<\/p>\n
Public meetings will be held throughout British
\nColumbia in February and March.<\/p>\n
Those interested in joining the conversation may\u00a0also take part in webinars and an on-line survey,\u00a0and will be encouraged to follow the discussion on\u00a0social media. Registration for consultation\u00a0meetings, background information and surveys will\u00a0be available on ITA’s website at www.ititbg.ca<\/p>\n
Through the variety of input opportunities,
\napprentices, sponsors and a broad range of other
\nstakeholders will have an opportunity to provide
\ninput on barriers and gaps in the current system, and\u00a0to identify potential supports to address those issues.<\/p>\n
