Improving essential services for a #BetterBC

Building a #BetterBC

Fighting for fair cellphone billing

A cellphone isn’t a luxury. It’s a necessity for life and work today. But billing is too complicated, and people – from students to seniors – are paying too much for this essential service.

That’s why John Horgan has put Maple Ridge-Mission MLA Bob D’Eith in charge of standing up to Ottawa, making sure you know your rights, and getting a better deal for British Columbians.

The time has come to replace confusing contracts and hidden fees with fairer, more-transparent cellphone options. If you agree, please send a message by adding your name today.

More room on the Canada Line

Public transit cuts down on congestion and pollution – and helps you get where you want to be, on time. That’s why we’ve made improving transit infrastructure a major priority.

In 2019, there were over 50 million boardings on the Canada Line. Now, 12 new trains are being added, which will provide more space, frequency, and comfort on this hugely popular service.

Bowinn Ma, Parliamentary Secretary for TransLink: “This service increase is one more example of how our shared goal of reliable and efficient transit is making a difference for people.”

A landmark for housing affordability

Everyone deserves a safe, affordable home. But the BC Liberals all but ignored this most basic human need, creating a housing crisis across BC – and especially in Vancouver.

They left us with a huge challenge, but we’re making progress. A new report shows that the Speculation Tax has contributed to a landmark increase in condos for rent.

We’re further increasing Vancouver’s supply of affordable rentals by building 3,500 new homes, including 102 units for seniors and families on Southwest Marine Drive.
