BCAA Burma Shave August 5 / 2015

Our members at BCAA have been locked out 44 days by their employer. Not a single member of COPE 378 has crossed the picket line. The solidarity of these workers, mostly women, is inspiring.

To bring some profile to this dispute, and to support these workers, COPE 378 is going to be having a Burma-shave-style demonstration on Wednesday, August 5 at 7:00 a.m., on the Willingdon overpass of Highway One.

We are inviting you all to come out with your banners and flags to show support for those members, who will have been locked out for two months at that point. Please feel free to contact communications@cope378.ca with any questions.

The support of the Federation and affiliates has been overwhelming so far in this dispute, and on behalf of our members and myself, I want to thank everyone for the support they’ve already provided.
