G4S – PREBOARD SCREENING PERSONNEL LOCAL LODGE 16 – PACIFIC REGION – NEGOTIATION UPDATE – APRIL 27,2015

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

Direct Bargaining sessions were held with G4S in Vancouver, April 15 – 23, 2015. Tentative Agreements were again reached on several non-monetary issues and the parties had spirited discussions regarding scheduling and overtime matters. Our monetary agenda has not been tabled at this point in the discussions.

The parties are in the process of scheduling additional dates to meet in May and will continue to keep you informed as the process evolves, providing an update once our next session is confirmed.imagesCA2ZV157

During Collective Bargaining certain people (both Unionized and non-Unionized) may attempt to take advantage and spread rumors in the workplace to harm the process or serve a personal agenda, creating division amongst the Membership and undermining our success at the bargaining table. Your Committee is working hard on your behalf and your continued support and patience is appreciated during this process.

We want to remind everyone that the present Collective Agreement remains in full force and effect while the parties continue to bargain in good faith towards the renewal of the Agreement.

Together, standing strong as one Union and speaking with one loud voice, we can improve our standard of living.

Remember to always work safe.

In Solidarity,

Tania Canniff, General Chairperson Paul Penman, General Chairperson
