G4S – PREBOARD SCREENING PERSONNEL LOCAL LODGE 16 – PACIFIC REGION – NEGOTIATION UPDATE – JANUARY 26, 2015

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

Your elected Negotiations Committee from throughout the Region met in Vancouver on January 12 & 13, 2015 to finalize our Bargaining Agenda and make preparations for Collective Bargaining with G4S.

Formal Notice to Bargain was served upon the Company on December 8, 2014 in accordance with theprovisions of Clause 27.02, to commence Negotiations for the renewal of the Collective Agreement.

Meeting dates were confirmed with the Company for January 14 & 15, 2015, however the Company cancelled the session due to an internal reorganization and the departure of their lead negotiator from the employ of G4S.imagesCA2ZV157

We will be commencing Collective Bargaining with the Company, February 17 – 20, 2015 in Vancouver, with additional meeting dates confirmed for March and April.

We will continue to keep you informed as the process evolves and provide an update following our February meeting.

In the Membership Bargaining Survey, Members indicated that their most preferred method of communication from the Negotiations Committee is through email. The Committee Communicator, John Vincent is building a group email account in order to provide the Membership with timely and accurate updates from the Committee.
