On November 8, 2013, one of the largest typhoons ever recorded made landfall in the Philippines. 11 million people have been affected, and estimates suggest that over 10,000 people may have been killed. The survivors are now struggling to access the basic necessities of life – clean water, food, and shelter.
In recognition of the extent of the catastrophe, and in support of the thousands of G4S employees impacted by this disaster, G4S Canada has opened the Philippines Disaster Relief Fund. With a one-time payroll deduction, employees may directly contribute to relief efforts in the Philippines.
